HEYOKA Theater Atelierbühne

HEYOKA Theater describes itself as a professional integrative theatre for Ulm. Its name comes from the Lakota word for the "contraries" who questioned everyday norms, and being different in a way that questions normality is the company's guiding idea. The registered association runs its own studio stage, the Heyoka Atelier (Atelierbühne), at Bleichstraße 1/2. The company's productions play at the Atelierbühne as well as at the ROXY Studio, the Zaubergarten on the Kuhberg and the HfG Ulm, and its mobile piece "Glitzerkatze" tours with a blue bus. In 2026 the Atelierbühne hosted "Evolution" (27 and 28 June), while "Ein Sommernachtstraum" ran at the ROXY Studio in October.
