About this venue
Holywell Music Room is the oldest purpose-built concert room in Europe, opened in 1748, and is Britain's first dedicated concert hall. Managed through Wadham College, it hosts chamber music, recitals and spoken-word events, and is used regularly by Music at Oxford and the Oxford Chamber Music Society.
