About this venue
Jesmond Pool & Gym is run by Jesmond Community Leisure, an award-winning social enterprise that is both a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. It took the building on after the city council withdrew from it, and operates a 22-metre pool, two gyms, a multi-purpose dance and activity room, a therapy room and a poolside sauna and steam room.
The activity room is hired out for classes, meetings and parties, and the building also appears as a small ticketed concert venue - for example hosting a Newcastle Festival of Jazz and Improvised Music show, capped at 40 tickets.
