About this venue
The Kammerspiele Wiesbaden is an independent, professional theatre with its own permanent venue in the neo-Gothic outbuilding of the Bergkirche in the Bergkirchenviertel. It was founded in 2009 by theatre makers who, after many years in state and municipal theatres, wanted to create their own production conditions. Its concept is to reinterpret contemporary and socially critical plays with its own ideas, and much of the repertoire is in-house productions. After each performance the audience can talk to the actors, and the KammerBar is open from 7 pm to midnight. The Kammerspiele won the City of Wiesbaden's culture prize in 2023. Parking around the Bergkirche is scarce; the Coulinstraße multi-storey car park is five minutes' walk away.
