About this venue

Kick Kulturhus is a bar, restaurant and concert venue at Dronningens gate 8 in central Kristiansand, a short walk from Markens gate. It has traded under several names — Kick Scene and KICK Nattklubb og Scene among them — and works as a cultural house rather than a single room: the same building holds the restaurant, the bar and the stage, and the evening often moves from one to the next. The stage takes touring and local bands across a wide range of genres, with rock, metal and hip hop the mainstays; Songkick has logged well over 200 concerts here, including TNT and Green Carnation. Alongside the concerts the house runs a stand-up programme, DJ and club nights, dinner theatre and film screenings, and afterparties for events elsewhere in town. The kitchen serves comfort food built around brisket, burgers and fried chicken, with student pricing. Kick is normally open Tuesday to Saturday, late on Thursday to Saturday.
