About this venue
Koncertkapellet is Roskilde's concert hall and experimentarium for classical and other acoustic music, in the former Sankt Jørgensbjerg Chapel. The hall is approved for 150 people with 120 seats (a fixed bench for about 40 plus up to 80 loose chairs), with acoustic treatment on the barrel vault and walls, wooden floor, a Steingraeber C-212 concert grand piano, a projector, 25 orchestra chairs and music stands, a controllable lighting system, a mobile bar and a side building with a tea kitchen and changing area for performers. The chapel and toilet building are step-free. External organisers can hire it for DKK 2,500 (morning, 8-15) or DKK 3,750 (afternoon, 15-23), including ticketing set-up, promotion, cleaning, volunteer support and an optional bar; a DKK 1,000 deposit and cancellation terms apply. The programme lists concerts, talks and children's classical events.
