About this venue
Built in 1594 in the middle of Ulm's old town, the Kornhaus is a listed monument that has been carefully converted into a modern concert and conference house, let by Ulm-Messe GmbH. Its great hall is used for concerts and lectures, conferences and banquets.
The Kornhaussaal was designed as a concert hall and has very good acoustics, complemented by a Steinway D concert grand; its stage holds an orchestra of up to 90 musicians. It seats up to 640 in rows, depending on the stage size, and also has a large 8 x 6 m screen for slide and film talks. The 320 m² Kornhaus foyer, lit by large round-arched windows, was planned as the hall's entrance but is also let on its own for exhibitions, presentations, concerts and private celebrations, with catering on request.
