About this venue
Krøsset opened in 2016 in a converted brewery at Maridalsveien 3, on the stretch between the city centre and Grünerløkka and about 200 metres from Mathallen in the Vulkan quarter. It is a music pub first — the room is open and unfussy, with the bar along one side and a stage in the corner — and it has become a fixture for intimate club concerts.
The stage measures 6 x 3.5 m and there is a permanent PA and a projector with screen. The room takes 180 people mingling or dancing, and 80 seated. Songkick has logged over 400 concerts here across a wide range of genres, though the house's own line is blues and rock in every variation. Between the gigs it runs quiz nights and film screenings on the projector.
The whole place is hired out for private parties, celebrations and company events. Buses 34 and 54 stop right outside.
