About this venue
KUF im südpunkt is one of the Nürnberg Kulturläden run by the Amt für Kultur und Freizeit. It was formed in 2009 from the Südstadtladen and the Kulturtreff Bleiweiß and shares the südpunkt building, one of Nürnberg's early large passive houses, with the Stadtbibliothek and the Bildungszentrum. Its programme includes cabaret and small-scale performance, theatre, music events, talks, panel discussions, readings, poetry slams and exhibitions, plus integration courses for women and intercultural projects; it also helps organise the annual Südstadtfest in the Annapark.
The events hall holds up to 240 people and includes a stage; it and the group rooms can be hired, regularly or for one-off events. The building is barrier-free, with automatic doors, step-free floors, two accessible parking bays on Sperberstraße and a mobile induction hearing system; companions with a B marker enter free. The U1 stop Frankenstraße is nearby.
