Kulturens Hus

Kulturens hus, opened on 3 January 2007, is a 14,000 square metre cultural centre in the middle of Luleå by the northern harbour, designed by Tirsén and Aili Arkitekter. Luleå municipality is the principal; its culture and leisure administration is responsible for the contents. Visit Luleå describes it as the city's cultural hub with concert halls, conference facilities, the city library, an art gallery, a tourist office, a restaurant and a café, with Norrbottensmusiken as a tenant on the top floor, and about 500,000 visitors a year. Luleå's convention bureau lists it with a maximum of 987 seats in cinema seating and 500 square metres of exhibition space, in the city centre. Capacities of the individual halls and hire prices were not found published, so no spaces are listed. The venue's own website could not be reached: kulturenshus.se is a parked domain and kulturenshus.com did not respond.
