About this venue
Kulturhuset Blå Grotte, run by Fredrikstad kommune, comprises two performance spaces in the city centre. Storsalen "Grotta" seats up to 451 in amphitheatre seating or holds 700 standing, and hosts dance, concerts, revues, theatre, choirs and brass bands. Lillesalen "Speilet" has 166 fixed amphitheatre seats and is used for children's and adult theatre, courses and seminars. Both halls have modern sound and lighting, backstage areas and dressing rooms, and the venue offers bar service and catering by arrangement alongside indoor and outdoor screens.
