About this venue

Kulturkirche Köln is the Lutherkirche in the Nippes district, a neo-Gothic Protestant church designed by August Albes and first used for services in 1889. Since 2002 it has doubled as a culture venue while remaining a working church; the house calls it the other side of the Protestant church. Around 70 events a year take place in the nave, from singer-songwriter evenings and pop, indie and jazz concerts to cabaret, comedy, readings, film and art. The room is known for its acoustics and its intimate atmosphere.
