Kulturladen Loni-Übler-Haus

The Loni-Übler-Haus, known as the Loni, is one of the twelve Nürnberg Kulturläden, a sociocultural meeting place at the end of Marthastraße in the east of the city, beside the Pegnitz meadows near the Wöhrder See. It has been a popular meeting point since the early 1980s. Visitors come for concerts, cabaret, exhibitions, theatre, a café, courses and self-organised groups, and for neighbourhood events such as the Loni summer festival and the Mögeldorf Advent calendar. Its long-running series, the Frauenkabarett (women's cabaret, now in its 38th season) and the FolkClub, have made the house known well beyond the district. Recent programming includes improvised theatre, Irish stories with live folk music, comedy galas and a Christmas blues evening.
