About this venue
The Kulturladen Zeltnerschloss is one of the city's twelve Kulturläden, in the south-east of Nürnberg. It occupies the Herrensitz Gleißhammer, known as the Zeltnerschloss, a manor house built in the second half of the 16th century on an island in a pond. Since 1985 it has been a meeting place for the surrounding districts, with concerts, art exhibitions, children's theatre (October to April), family concerts, courses, workshops and lecture series. Its music series such as "Live im Zeltner" give musicians from Nürnberg and the region a stage, there are open-air concerts in summer, and the highlight of the year is the Christmas market on the first Advent weekend.
Its rooms can be hired for private parties, seminars, workshops and cultural events, with a bar counter and kitchen for self-catering; the venue recommends a maximum of 50 to 60 people. Access is only partly barrier-free: there is no accessible toilet and no automatic door, though wheelchair places are available and companions enter free. Buses 43 and 44 stop at Burgerstraße and the S3 at Gleißhammer.
