About this venue
The Kulturzentrum KUNO is a non-municipal cultural centre in the north of Nürnberg, near the Stadtpark, run by the KUNO e.V. with funding from the city's Amt für Kultur und Freizeit and staffed by employees and many volunteers. Its rooms and green courtyard host events and meetings, and the Galeriehaus Nord shows exhibitions. Its literature programme includes the Wortwärts literature festival, a literary prize and a literary magazine, alongside writing, art and language courses and the Café Zeitlos for older people.
The TIK-Café, suited to events, performances and parties, holds 40 to 60 depending on use and has a bar counter, a simple music system, a screen and direct access to the terrace; the L-Raum takes up to 30, the library up to 20 and the Ökostübchen up to 8, and a small kitchen can be added. For private parties only the whole rear building is let. Because the centre is in a residential area, very loud events are not possible and all activity must move indoors from 10pm.
