About this venue
The Kulturzentrum Tempel on Hardtstraße in Karlsruhe-Mühlburg is run by the Kulturverein Tempel e.V. and houses artists' studios, dance and theatre groups, media projects and rehearsal rooms alongside its public stage. The heart of the building is the ground-floor ScenarioHalle, whose updated light, sound and media technology lets it be set up as a theatre space or as a music stage with bistro tables, lounge seating or standing room. A bar serves drinks and snacks at every event, and the hall opens an hour before shows (except dance and theatre performances).
The Tempel Live programme brings concerts by touring and regional artists, from chanson, French pop and folk to singer-songwriters, and the centre organises the TANZ Karlsruhe dance festival, youth dance projects and dance workshops.
