About this venue

Lisebergsteatern stands inside the Liseberg amusement park. Its dome-shaped building opened in 1944 as a planetarium run by the Swedish Astronomical Society and has been a theatre since 1948, known for farces, revues and slapstick under directors such as Gösta Bernhard and Hagge Geigert. Liseberg describes it as one of Sweden's top stages for comedies, revue acts and family performances, and a ticket for a performance includes free admission to the park when the park is open. The theatre can also be used for conferences, product launches and other events: the Göteborg venue-finder listing gives a main room for 517 people, lighting and sound that can be fitted to the event, and a spacious foyer for mingling, with light refreshments served on site and the park's restaurants available for lunch and dinner. The address is Örgrytevägen 5, inside the park, near Korsvägen. Prices and hire terms are not published; contact Liseberg for a quote.
