About this venue
Since 2002 the Literaturhaus Villa Clementine, an institution of the city's Kulturamt, has given Wiesbaden's literary life a stylish home on Frankfurter Straße. In the salons of the villa a curated programme presents new books and debates on social and political themes, with contemporary literature at its centre. It often reaches into other arts, with performances, comic readings, poetry nights and musical readings, and also hosts workshops, Shared Reading sessions and reading parties; the Junges Literaturhaus programme is aimed at young audiences, and international authors appear regularly. Tickets are sold through the Tourist Info and online via Eventim, and the box office opens 45 minutes before events. The Literaturhaus café opens only during readings, festivals and special events and on open weekend afternoons. The building has step-free access and an accessible toilet.
