Litteraturhuset Fredrikstad

Litteraturhuset Fredrikstad occupies a purpose-built four-storey, roughly 3,000 square metre building in central Fredrikstad along the Vesterelven river, constructed in 2012 after a 2008 fire destroyed the previous building downtown. The building is owned by Fredriksborg Eiendom AS, with the literature house foundation leasing about half of its area. Programming includes book presentations and literary talks, concerts, lectures and debates, quiz nights, senior programming (Littsenior), youth activities (Stempel), Family Sundays, poetry and shared-reading sessions, and film screenings with discussion, alongside meeting rooms and halls available for conferences, seminars and private hire.
