About this venue
The Mata Hari Bar has been a bar and pub in the Weißgerbergasse in the old town since 1994. Its Wohnzimmermusik ("living-room music") concert series brings touring artists from around the world who play their own material, from solo acts to five-piece bands with drums and double bass squeezed onto a stage of about 3.5 square metres; the local press has called it Germany's smallest live bar. There are no pure cover bands, and because capacity is so small many concerts sell out, with tickets on sale about a month ahead.
Outside the concerts the bar runs DJ nights from October to April.
