About this venue
Mere Kultuurikeskus is a city-owned culture centre on Mere puiestee in central Tallinn, formerly known as Vene Kultuurikeskus (the Russian Cultural Centre) and now run by Tallinna Kultuurikatel (Tallinn Creative Hub). The main hall, Suur saal, seats 834 across three levels: 550 in the stalls, 236 on the first balcony and 48 on the second. It has permanently installed sound, video and lighting systems.
The Väike saal takes up to 110 guests theatre-style, and three smaller rooms (Valge saal, Lektoorium and Kammersaal) take up to 60 each. The neoclassical foyers total 847.3 m² over three floors and are used for conference catering, receptions and gala dinners. The programme covers concerts, theatre, puppet theatre, dance, stand-up comedy, lectures and children's shows, and the building houses a café.
