Victorian civic hall on Albert Road with a 1,151-seat main hall and three further event spaces including the Crypt.
Middlesbrough Town Hall is the town's principal civic and entertainment venue, on Albert Road in the centre of Middlesbrough. It takes touring music, comedy, drama and conferences, and is run by Middlesbrough Council alongside Middlesbrough Theatre.
Four spaces are hired out. The Main Hall is the largest indoor seating area in the town. The Crypt, in the basement, is the venue's live music and standing room and has a removable steel deck stage; it can be used on its own or with the other rooms. The Courtroom and the Old Fire Station are smaller historic rooms used for talks, workshops and receptions. Each room comes with a projector and screen.

The operator's own hire page gives "Theatre style seating: up to 1151 (734 stalls, 220 balcony, 220 gallery)" and "Cabaret and theatre style seating: up to 790". The combined heading is mapped to the more restrictive layout. Note the operator's own breakdown sums to 1174 rather than 1151.
Basement events room
Basement room used for live music and standing shows, with a removable steel deck stage. Can be hired on its own or with the other rooms.
The operator's own hire page gives "Theatre style seating: up to 400", "Cabaret style seating: up to 350" and "Conference style table seating: up to 250"; the last has no clean equivalent in this taxonomy and is recorded here rather than as a layout.

The operator's own hire page gives a "capacity of 110" with no layout named; recorded under Other.
