About this venue
Mosjøen kulturhus is the cultural centre of Mosjøen, run by Vefsn municipality and standing in the middle of town beside the Sjøsiden shopping centre. Under one roof it holds the main auditorium, two cinema screens, Vefsn kulturskole — teaching music, dance, drama and art to all ages — and Vefsn bibliotek.
The main hall has 407 fixed seats, with room for another 50, and takes concerts, theatre and events. Riksteatret plays here regularly, with productions booked through to spring 2027, and the house programmes concerts, comedy and its own cultural season alongside the daily film schedule.
Tickets are sold three ways: over the library counter during the day, at the cinema box office and from a self-service machine at the entrance, as well as at the municipal service centre; the box office hours vary by day, and there is a three-day collection deadline. The house's entrance is on Kinoplassen, which some listings give as its address.
Hire enquiries go to the culture house manager at Vefsn kommune. No technical specification is published.
