About this venue

Moss kulturhus runs the town's two main stages. Parkteatret stands at Dronningens gate 25 and Samfunnshuset at Kirkegata 13, with the administration at Storgata 25; the programme spans theatre, concerts, comedy, dance and community events across both. Teatersalen in Parkteatret is an amphitheatre built for concerts and theatre, seating 529 in all — 332 in the stalls, 186 on the balcony and 11 in the boxes. Storsalen in Samfunnshuset is the flexible room: 191 seated theatre-style, 200 or more at café tables, or up to 430 standing on a flat floor, with conference layouts on request. Both halls are hired out at published rates, and the rate includes the house technical equipment; for cultural events a house technician comes with it. A day of up to eight hours runs 18,500 kroner in Teatersalen or 8,500 in Storsalen for voluntary organisations and amateurs based in Moss, and 37,500 or 17,500 for commercial hirers and those from outside; an extra performance the same day adds 50 per cent for four more hours. A technician beyond what is included costs 5,835 kroner for up to ten hours and 655 kroner an hour after that. The house also handles audience management and ticket control, with ticket fees from 15 kroner a ticket upwards. Full technical specifications are published as downloads for each hall. The box office opens an hour before every performance, and the phone is answered weekdays 12:00-15:00 on +47 404 09 924. Gift cards are valid for 24 months.
