About this venue
Munktellarenan is Eskilstuna municipality's competition and training arena, set in the former Volvo BM factories in Munktellstaden. It has 15,000 square metres of sports area on three floors, used by recreational and elite athletes of all ages: mini golf, boules, table tennis, archery, athletics, floorball, shooting and weightlifting. A cafe on the entrance level serves coffee and simple food, and the arena also has facilities for trade fairs, educational events and conferences. It is open to the public on weekdays 7.30-19.00 and weekends 9.00-17.00, with some areas closed for events. The municipality's booking e-service and rentals office let halls, pitches and equipment to clubs and other organisers. It is a separate building from the Volvo CE Arena (Arenatorget 1), on Verkstadsgatan in Munktellstaden, where Lokomotivet is at number 8. This is a sports and training arena rather than a concert venue.
