About this venue
The MUZclub is run by the Musikzentrale Nürnberg e.V., a non-profit association that supports the regional music scene, and has been a venue in the Gostenhof district since January 2007. It hosts between 10 and 20 events a month, mixing regional acts with nationally and internationally touring artists across genres: weekly Wednesday concerts, the Bandkarussell festival of member bands, concerts by local promoters and initiatives, club nights and a FLINTA* network evening with jam sessions. By day the room is used for video shoots, rehearsals, live recordings and workshops.
The hall is about 140 m², with acoustic curtains and ceiling, and a stage of about 35 m² (8 m wide, 4 m deep). The house PA is a Kling & Freitag system with Allen & Heath and Midas consoles, plus lighting, DJ equipment and full backline. There is a bar during events and a separate backstage area with toilet, shower and Wi-Fi.
