About this venue

Edinburgh New Town Church is the Church of Scotland congregation at 13 George Street, formed on 1 February 2024 by the union of St Andrew's and St George's West with Greenside Church. The building, by Major Andrew Frazer, was the first church built in the New Town in 1784 and is known for its elliptical plan, Adam-style plaster ceiling and delicate spire.

Alongside Sunday and Tuesday worship the church offers its elliptical sanctuary and a range of flexible rooms for hire, and runs music recitals, exhibitions and festival events. The Undercroft cafe operates on weekday mornings. Step-free entry and accessible facilities are provided.
