About this venue

Parken kulturhus is the culture house of Ålesund, run by Ålesund municipality from a building on Parkgata in the town centre. Its programme runs across two rooms — the Hovedscene (main stage) and the Foajeen (foyer) — and mixes jazz and pop concerts, theatre, tribute nights and sessions, lectures on art history and technology, quiz concerts and afterwork events. The house is available for private and commercial hire. The area let is in principle the hall and dressing rooms; the entrance area and foyer are open public spaces and have to be arranged separately. Bookings are taken through an online form, and the venue asks for them well in advance — during the high season from September to April, publicly open cultural events are given priority over private lettings. Tickets and enquiries are handled on +47 46 83 04 19, staffed weekdays from midday, and on billett@parkenkulturhus.no. Gift vouchers are valid for two years.
