About this venue
Penderyn Square is a public square at the junction of Castle Street and High Street in Merthyr Tydfil town centre, used throughout the year for outdoor festivals, markets and community events. It hosts the annual Merthyr Rising festival on the site of the 1831 rising it commemorates, the Chilli and Chocolate Festival, and a monthly artisan and farmers' market on the first Friday of each month.
