Pumpehuset

Pumpehuset occupies a former waterworks pumping station at Studiestræde 52, dating to 1856, which was converted into a music venue in 1987 and re-opened under new management in January 2011. It presents concerts all year on three stages: Kransalen (first-floor main hall, still showing the old crane), Sort Sal (ground-floor hall with a corner stage) and Byhaven (an outdoor venue and bar open April to September). The programme mixes subcultural and niche scenes with larger acts brought in by national promoters. The rooms can be hired empty or with a full-service package (bar, catering, production and serving staff, light and sound) for conferences, parties, fashion shows and film shoots; the maximum capacity is 600.
