About this venue

Queens Park is a formal Victorian public park in Burnley, opened in 1893 following a land donation by Sir John Hardy Thursby to mark Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. Covering 11.2 hectares, it is Burnley's oldest park and includes an octagonal covered bandstand, a Pavilion Cafe, children's play areas, a skate park, tennis courts, bowling greens, football pitches, a putting green, a cycle track, an arboretum and a sensory garden. The bandstand regularly hosts concerts and community events, including the annual "Bands in the Park" festival, and is available for hire. The park is owned and operated by Burnley Council.
