Ravnedalen Scene

Ravnedalen Scene is the concert stage in Ravnedalen Naturpark, the wooded valley park just north-west of central Kristiansand. The park was laid out in the 1870s by General Oscar Wergeland, whose name survives in Café Generalen at its centre, and the natural bowl of the valley makes it one of the region's most striking outdoor concert settings. The stage is the main site of Ravnedalen Live, a music festival held there every July since 2016 and now one of the high points of the Sørlandet summer. The festival runs over three days — the 2027 edition falls on 15-17 July — and describes itself as among Europe's most sustainable, working with reuse, local value creation and social sustainability. Makosir, Gjenfødt Kultur and Ea Othilde are among the first acts announced for 2027. The valley also hosts Ravnedans, Kristiansand's contemporary dance festival. Outside the festival weeks the park runs a lighter summer programme through Café Generalen — weekly quizzes, bingo evenings and tribute concerts such as a Van Morrison night.
