About this venue

Rønne Theater opened on 30 November 1823 and describes itself as the oldest working theatre in Denmark. It houses many users and associations, including Bornholms Teater, the island's regional theatre company. The old stage (Gamle scene) is the largest hall with 306 seats on two levels including boxes (232 best-view seats, 42 and 32 with restricted view) and two wheelchair places per performance. A café seats 50 and can serve as an intimate stage; there are several smaller rooms that can be blacked out, and a courtyard. Rooms such as the café and the corner hall can be rented for private and company use when free; theatre-related use has first priority. The entrance is from Østergade 7A. Ticket office opens one hour before performances.
