Salford Museum & Art Gallery

Salford Museum & Art Gallery stands in Peel Park on The Crescent, next to the University of Salford's Peel Park campus. Opened in the nineteenth century, it is best known for Lark Hill Place, a reconstructed Victorian street of shopfronts and interiors, and for its Victorian galleries and its collection of work by L. S. Lowry and his contemporaries. Several of its spaces are hired for events outside normal opening hours: Lark Hill Place and the Victorian Gallery for drinks receptions, and the ground-floor Cafe & Welcome Space overlooking the park for seated events. The North, Langworthy and East Wing galleries are also available depending on the exhibition programme, and the museum can provide a projector, screen and PA.
