Spaced Out
Live music venue in Lathom Hall, Seaforth, an 1884 hall central to Merseybeat, traded for gigs and club nights under the Spaced Out name.
About this venue
Spaced Out is a live music venue in Lathom Hall on Lathom Avenue in Seaforth, north Liverpool. The hall was built in 1884 and later worked as a cinema. It is one of the buildings most closely associated with Merseybeat, having hosted the Beatles and their contemporaries in the early 1960s, and it still carries "The Lathom Suite" in lettering across its front gable.
The building is a long single-storey red brick hall on a street corner, with a gabled entrance front and a hall range running back along the side street. The current operating company, Spaced Out Sefton Ltd, trades the room for gigs and club nights under the Spaced Out name.
No capacity figure is recorded here. One ticketing aggregator gives 450, but it is a single unconfirmed figure and the operator publishes none.
