About this venue
The Stadthaus on Münsterplatz describes itself as an open civic forum. Alongside its free photography exhibitions, its hall hosts events from culture, science, politics, business and social life on more than 250 days a year, most of them guest events by hirers; depending on the event it works as an exhibition space, concert hall, discussion forum, venue for social evenings or congress centre.
The house's own programme includes the KlangHaus, a contemporary chamber music festival held every two years, usually in April, with the European Music Project as ensemble in residence (formerly "neue musik im stadthaus ulm"). Long-standing partners are the Verein für moderne Musik Ulm/Neu-Ulm (jazz and improvised music), the dance company Strado Compagnia Danza and the Südwest Presse chamber concert series "klassisch!". The hall seats up to 340 and the building also houses a café-restaurant and the Ulm/Neu-Ulm tourist information.
