About this venue

Stage & Radio occupies a Port Street building with more than seven decades of Manchester music history: Eric Scriven began presenting modern jazz there in 1946 and founded Club 43 on the site in 1951, and the room later hosted the 1998 In the City showcase where Coldplay were first signed. It traded as the Cuba Cafe salsa club before reverting to the Stage & Radio name in 2016, and now runs across three floors as a bar, casual restaurant and gig venue with a 150-capacity basement.
