About this venue

Stavanger konserthus stands on Sandvigå by the sea in central Stavanger and is run by Stavanger konserthus IKS, an inter-municipal company owned by Stavanger municipality and Rogaland county council. Fartein Valen is the classical hall: 1,500 seats in a classical shoebox design with stalls, three balconies and a choir balcony, described by the house as both grand and intimate. Zetlitz is the flexible hall, taking 800 seated or up to 1,900 standing, and converting between a raked amphitheatre and a flat floor. Kuppelhallen is used for rock concerts, revues, choirs and brass bands. The multi-storey audience foyer has large glass façades, and the mezzanine and VIP room take smaller concerts and receptions. An outdoor amphitheatre on the south side of the building holds several thousand. All the rooms are available to external organisers, and the house publishes technical specifications and an organiser brochure. The box office is open Thursdays 15:00-18:00 and Saturdays 11:00-15:00, and the ticket phone Monday to Saturday 11:00-15:00.
