Stavangeren is the comedy house of Stavanger — "byens store humorscene" in its own words — on Vaisenhusgata in the city centre, run by Stavanger Scenedrift AS. Its programme runs to stand-up and humour shows, concerts, theatre and cabaret through the year. The hall seats 420 and is equipped with modern sound and lighting. It is let as a usable stage in an atmospheric room for performances, concerts, stand-up, seminars and lectures, with bar service run by the house's own staff. The box office is open weekdays 10:00-14:00 and from an hour before each performance.
