Studentenes Hus Gjøvik

Studentenes Hus Gjøvik ("HUSET") is a two-storey, student-run house and concert venue at Kallerud in Gjøvik, built in 1998 as a multi-purpose building. The ground floor holds a pub/café, while the upper floor is a larger room used for concerts, club nights, larger meetings and dancing. HUSET is owned by the student welfare organisation Sit (Studentsamskipnaden i Gjøvik, Ålesund og Trondheim), which also runs the bar, while student activity is organised by a board and volunteers who handle bar service, security and technical equipment. Funding comes from an annual grant from Velferdstinget (the student welfare parliament) plus the house's own revenue from concerts and events. It hosts touring concerts across pop and hip-hop (including Chris Abolade, Byting and TØFL), alongside theme parties such as Oktoberfest and Halloween, and can be booked by both student organisations and external parties.
