About this venue
Studenterhuset in Aalborg runs a concert hall, a first-floor room called Stargate and a café at Gammeltorv 10. The house is designated as a regional venue for rhythmic music and hosts about 80 concert days a year across indie, hip hop, jazz, electronic and metal, plus Northern Winter Beat and Way Up North festivals and the Aalborg Metal Festival. The concert hall holds 460 standing or 170 seated and is wheelchair accessible; Stargate holds 75 standing or 45 seated and is reached by lift. Rooms are lent free to AAU and UCN students and hired to associations and organisers with a cultural aim; private parties and weddings are not accepted and the café is not hired out. The hall has a d&b PA, a Soundcraft Vi2000 desk, monitors, microphones and DJ equipment, with a published floor plan and light plot.
