About this venue
TÆPS opened in 2018 with a capacity of 150 guests and began hosting concerts shortly after launch. By 2023 the venue was hosting at least 20 concerts a year and received a NOK 54,000 grant from Kulturrom to buy backline equipment (drums, guitar and bass amplifiers, stands and storage). Regular Saturday concerts anchor the schedule, alongside the annual "Romjuls Extravaganza," and the booking team aims to run a monthly evening for genres outside their usual afternoon bookings. TÆPS positions itself as a low-threshold live-music venue supporting both emerging local artists and touring musicians, including free concerts intended to draw in local residents.
