About this venue

The Taeter-Theater was founded in 1987 by an actor-director and a stage designer in rooms of the old Landfried cigar factory on Bergheimer Straße. Its performers are amateurs, and the house is known for uncut productions of the classics. The monthly programme mixes repertoire plays and literary evenings (Kafka, Hölderlin, Bernhard, Kästner, Nathan der Weise) with guest performances, and the theatre is run by a membership association. Cars can reach the theatre only from the south side of the Landfried site via Alte Eppelheimer Straße 50; free parking is arranged at the box office. Advance sales are Monday to Thursday, 6 to 7 pm, at the theatre.
