Liverpool's centre for contemporary arts in the city's oldest building — the UK's first arts centre, with spaces for hire.
Bluecoat is Liverpool's centre for contemporary arts and the UK's first arts centre, housed in Bluecoat Chambers on School Lane — built in 1716-17 as a charity school and the oldest surviving building in central Liverpool. It runs a year-round programme of exhibitions, performances, workshops and family activities, and hires out a range of spaces for everything from small meetings and conferences to weddings and private celebrations.
