About this venue
The Den is a small music venue at 15 Baker Street in Middlesbrough town centre, built for DJs, producers and live electronic performers. It opened on 30 January 2026 in the premises previously run as Rhythms Music Bar (2023 to 2025), after a refit by local DJs and promoters that added a professional sound system, lighting and technical set-up.
The venue positions itself as a home for Middlesbrough's independent club and electronic scene, hosting promoter club nights, showcases and a weekly local-talent showcase series. Skiddle lists its capacity at about 100. Under its current premises licence live music runs 5pm to 11pm Monday to Saturday; in August 2026 the venue applied to extend music hours to midnight.
