About this venue

The Granary Arts Café is a coffee house and community arts space off Welsh Row in Nantwich, set up to create and support community arts and culture. In the evenings the tiny room hosts gigs: a sell-out show there holds about 60 people. Since 2020 the independent promoter Moth Events has run grassroots gigs at the café, raising money for mental health charities including Mid-Cheshire Mind. More than 80 acts have played, among them Mercury Prize winner Fyfe Dangerfield, New York rapper Pan Amsterdam, Hang Linton, Big Special and Antony Szmierek, alongside local hip-hop nights and support from local poets and DJs. Local press describes it as a vital independent venue in the North West.
