A Grade II listed former Victorian cinema in Clitheroe town centre, now a 400-seat performing arts venue, cinema and community creative hub with a cafe.
The Grand is a Grade II listed building in Clitheroe town centre, built in 1873-74 as Clitheroe Public Hall and converted into the Grand cinema in 1921. The Lancaster Foundation bought the building in 2005 and redeveloped it into a performing arts venue, reopening in 2008. The 400-seat auditorium has a full-size cinema screen, and the building also houses a recording studio, a contemporary dance rehearsal space and a cafe/bistro. Alongside films and touring shows, The Grand runs community creative classes and projects, including a choir and a youth music programme.
