About this venue

Waterfall occupies the former Midland Railway Institute, a red-brick building put up in 1892 as a cultural and educational centre for Derby's rail workers, standing opposite the entrance to Derby railway station at the start of the City Rail pedestrian link. The ground floor holds a large L-shaped bar and cafe serving food daily, an American pool lounge with five tables, and the Executive Bar, a function room with its own bar and food servery. Upstairs are two further function rooms, the large Victoria Suite and the smaller Niagara Suite, each with its own bar. The operator markets Waterfall as a party venue for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, office and Christmas parties, with buffet and dinner menus or room-only hire.
