The White Hotel

The White Hotel is a nightclub and arts venue in a former MOT garage on Dickinson Street in Salford's Cambridge Industrial Estate, widely regarded as one of the most important underground club spaces in the north of England and often compared to the Haçienda by the generation that grew up with it. It programmes club nights, experimental and electronic music, live performance and art events, and has built an international reputation on a deliberately raw, unbranded room. In May 2026 the venue announced it will close permanently in January 2027, after plans were approved to redevelop the Cambridge Industrial Estate and Strangeways for housing and a wetland park that places the site in a flood zone. A separate operation, BASTION, plans to open a new gig space in the building in summer 2027.
