About this venue
Utgard fleirbrukshus is, in the municipality's own words, the storstove of Lom. Together with the sports ground at Grov it is the largest gathering place for cultural and sporting events in the municipality, and it combines a sports hall, an amphitheatre hall, a cinema, a gym with membership subscriptions, and a café and canteen under one roof.
The sports hall covers roughly 850 m² and holds 1,000 people, taking everything from training sessions to trade fairs and larger concerts; a 48 m² demountable stage can be hired for use in it. Kulturstugu is about 205 m² with 190 seats in the amphitheatre, and is used for cinema, rehearsals, lectures, conferences and concerts. The café and canteen seats 72 at tables, up to 90 at a push, or around 120 on chairs alone in a conference layout.
Accessibility is taken seriously: there is a lift between all floors, accessible parking at every event, braille signage on all rooms and guide lines set into the floors, and staff will open the barrier so you can drive right up to the door. A companion ticket is free at every event in Utgard, cinema included, whoever the promoter is — the code for the ledsager ticket category is issued by the house before booking.
